She is a well-known and esteemed scholar of classical and popular music. With a diploma in piano and a degree in ethnomusicology, she has focused her studies on Neapolitan performers and repertoire from the early twentieth century. The author of numerous publications, she collaborated with Roberto De Simone on the volume La canzone napolitana (Einaudi, 2017).
