The visual arts collective Opus Continuum returns with a new exhibition that questions the margin, where thought becomes complex and boundaries do not exclude, but rather open to new perspectives. Limen is the threshold beyond which it becomes possible to imagine new forms of coexistence and collaboration. The project draws inspiration from the ideals that drove many 19th-century Neapolitan artists to embrace the dream of a united Italy: freedom, progress, opposition to absolutism, and the vision of a country free of rigid barriers, where it was possible to move, engage, and grow. In that artistic context, fragmentation was transformed into a shared strength, giving rise to a self-managed organization that is now little known: the Società Promotrice di Belle Arti in Napoli. Can this experience offer useful insights for new initiatives dedicated to the promotion of contemporary visual art?
