His biographical essay, republished in fine editions by Colonnese Editore, serves as the primary source for understanding not only the technique but also the inner turmoil and ambitions of the creator of the Royal Palace of Caserta. His writing, sober and meticulous, offers an intimate portrait of his grandfather, describing his misunderstood genius and absolute dedication to art. Thanks to this historical testimony, it has been possible to reconstruct the cultural climate of the era and the monumental influence the Vanvitelli family exerted on European architectural identity.
