Renato Miracco is a distinguished art critic, curator, and scholar of Italian origin, now an American citizen. Renowned for promoting Italian art globally, he has curated major exhibitions at institutions like the Tate Modern and the Met, focusing on masters such as De Nittis, Morandi, and Fontana.

His profound commitment in Washington D.C. marked a vital chapter in his career. Serving as the Cultural Attaché at the Italian Embassy, he championed cultural diplomacy by collaborating with The Phillips Collection, the US Department of State, and the Pentagon to showcase and protect Italy's artistic heritage in the United States.

Closely linked to the Naples-based publisher Colonnese Editore, Miracco has extensively researched Oscar Wilde’s time in Italy. Through Colonnese, he published his early essay Verso il sole. Cronaca del soggiorno napoletano (1981), and the exquisite volume Oscar Wilde. Il sogno italiano (1875-1900) in 2020. For his outstanding cultural contributions, he received the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2018.
