(1923-2020) was an Italian philosopher and politician. A key figure in Neapolitan and Italian cultural life, he contributed to the history of philosophical thought with reflections often focused on the concepts of time and community. With a degree in philosophy and law, he spent various periods of research and teaching in Germany. From 1967, he was a full professor of Moral Philosophy and Theoretical Philosophy, and from 1984 to 1990, he was director of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Naples Federico II.
