Croce Benedetto

Benedetto Croce (1866–1952) was one of the most influential Italian philosophers, historians, and politicians of the 20th century, and the leading figure of Neo-idealism. Born in Pescasseroli, he settled in Naples, dedicating himself to an intense intellectual life as a self-taught scholar. His philosophy, defined as "absolute historicism," maintains that reality is Spirit and that history coincides with philosophy itself.
